Avaya One-X Quick Edition
Avaya One-X Quick Edition delivers intelligent communications to very small businesses and small branches of enterprises. Utilizing SIP-based peer-to-peer technology mean that system set-up and installation is dramatically simplified: plug the Quick Edition telephones into the LAN and they detect and configure themselves. Within minutes, users have access to the most commonly used set of telephony features including voice-mail, conferencing, and auto-attendant. With peer-to-peer technology, individual telephones participate in the system functions previously performed by a centralized server. By redistributing these applications and functions out to the handset, costs are reduced and system reliability is increased as a single point of failure is eliminated. All is this is achieved with no significant additional performance burden on the network. Each Avaya one-X Quick Edition IP Telephone has its own software and system backup data, so if one telephone is disconnected from the network the others continue to work, providing embedded fail-over and business continuity. For example, incoming calls continue to be forwarded according to the disconnected telephone’s call-forwarding rules and voicemail messages can be collected from any Quick Edition IP Telephone. For connection to the PSTN, Avaya also provides a peer-to-peer enabled gateway allowing connectivity to non-IP networks. Administration is also easy. A standard secure web browser enables users or system administrators to manage the phones locally or remotely. You can access, manage, and upgrade system-wide features through web-based administration interface. All system changes and updates are communicated to the other Avaya one-X Quick Edition IP Telephones and PSTN Gateway on the network automatically. Password authentication ensures that only authorized users can access system-wide configuration settings.
